Ashwin Murali

Ashwin Murali is a PhD candidate at Mercedes-Benz in collaboration with the Munich University of Applied Sciences, pursuing his doctorate since November 2025. By combining information from cameras, LiDAR and other sensors, his work aims to enable vehicles to better understand their surroundings, assess the reliability of the available information and make safer decisions in real-world situations. Before starting his PhD, he completed a Master’s degree in Computer Science (Autonomous Systems) at the University of Stuttgart.
